The natural color of HDPE board is a translucent white wax-like material.Its specific gravity is lighter than water.It is soft and flexible.It is slightly stretchable.It is odorless and combustible.It can continue to burn after leaving the fire.The upper end of the flame is yellow and the lower end is blue.When it melts,there is liquid dripping,no black smoke comes out,and at the same time,it emits the smell of paraffin wax.
Disadvantages of HDPE board have poor mechanical properties,poor air permeability,easy deformation,easy aging,easy to be brittle,less brittle than PP,easy to stress cracking,low surface hardness,easy to scratch.It is difficult to print.When printing,surface discharge treatment is required,no electroplating,and the surface is dull.
The wear resistance of HDPE sheet is a kind of wear resistance under special conditions.It is not as abrasion resistant in most cases like rigid wear resistant materials:a simple test can be done by everyone.An ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene HDPE board was rubbed against a sheel plate with a very rough surface.As a result,it was obvious that the ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene HDPE board was worn off and the steel block appeared unscathed.This leads us to a conclusion that the UHMWPE HDPE board can’t withstand the damage of cutting wear,and its wear resistance is only a flexible wear resistance.
PE sheet has good chemical stability,can resist most acids,alkalis,organic solutions and hot water,and has good electrical insulation.2mm thickness PE sheet production method,plastic sheet is generally extrusion molding,casting molding or injection molding is very rare,there are many types,and the specific uses are different.
