What are the components of a plastic injection machine?

1, Injection system
The injection system is the core part of a plastic injection machine, mainly responsible for injecting molten plastic materials into the mold cavity at high pressure and speed. The system mainly consists of two parts: a plasticizing device and an injection device.
Plasticizing device: usually includes hopper, screw, barrel, heating and cooling system, etc. The hopper is used to store plastic particles to be processed, and the screw rotates inside the barrel to plasticize the plastic particles into a molten state through shearing, mixing, and heating. The heating system usually uses electric heating coils or oil heating methods to ensure that the plastic reaches the appropriate processing temperature inside the barrel. The cooling system is used to regulate the temperature of the barrel and prevent plastic from overheating and decomposing.
Injection device: mainly composed of injection cylinder, injection seat, injection screw or plunger, etc. The injection cylinder drives the injection screw or plunger to move forward, pushing the molten plastic into the mold cavity. Accurate control of injection speed, pressure, and time is crucial for product quality.
2, Mold closing system
The clamping system is another important component of the plastic injection machine, which is responsible for the opening and locking of the mold, as well as the ejection of the product. The system mainly consists of templates, pull rods, clamping cylinders, ejection mechanisms, and other parts.
Template: divided into fixed template and moving template, respectively fixing the fixed and moving parts of the mold. The templates are connected by pull rods to ensure the stability and accuracy of the molds during the opening and closing process.
Mold closing oil cylinder: drives the moving template to move relative to the fixed template, achieving the opening and closing action of the mold. The magnitude of the clamping force directly affects the locking effect of the mold and the forming quality of the product.
Ejection mechanism: After the product cools and solidifies, the ejection mechanism pushes the product out of the mold for easy retrieval. The design of the ejection mechanism should ensure smooth ejection action and no damage to the product.
3, Hydraulic system
The hydraulic system provides power support for the plastic injection machine, driving the injection cylinder, mold closing cylinder and other executing components to work. The hydraulic system mainly consists of oil tank, oil pump, oil motor, hydraulic valve, oil pipe, and oil pressure gauge.
Oil tank: stores hydraulic oil and maintains its cleanliness through a filter.
Oil pump: sucks hydraulic oil from the oil tank and pressurizes it before delivering it to each actuator.
Hydraulic valve: controls the flow direction, pressure, and flow rate of hydraulic oil to achieve precise control of each action of the injection machine.
Oil pipe and oil pressure gauge: transmit hydraulic oil and display system pressure to ensure stable operation of the hydraulic system.
4, Electrical control system
The electrical control system is the "brain" of the plastic injection machine, responsible for the automation control and monitoring of the entire injection process. The system mainly consists of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), touch screen, sensors, actuators, etc.
PLC: receives signals from sensors and touch screens, and controls the actions of various executing components according to preset programs.
Touch screen: As a human-computer interaction interface, it displays the operating status and parameter settings of the injection machine, making it convenient for operators to monitor and adjust.
Sensor: detects various parameters of the injection machine (such as temperature, pressure, position, etc.) and feeds back the signal to the PLC for processing.
Executor: drives various execution components, such as motors, solenoid valves, etc., according to the instructions of the PLC.
5, Other auxiliary components
In addition to the main components mentioned above, the plastic injection machine is also equipped with a series of auxiliary components to ensure its normal operation and efficient production. These components include cooling systems (for cooling molds and hydraulic oil), lubrication systems (to provide lubrication for various moving parts to reduce wear), safety protection devices (such as emergency stop buttons, protective covers, etc.), and automatic feeding and retrieval devices.
