Although the application of thermosetting plastics in injection molding is relatively limited, there are also some specific thermosetting plastics that can be processed through special injection molding processes. For example, thermosetting plastics such as phenolic resins and epoxy resins have excellent heat resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, and mechanical strength after injection molding, and are commonly used to manufacture high-performance components and products.
3, Precautions during injection molding process
Selection of plastic materials: When selecting plastic materials for injection molding, it is necessary to comprehensively consider factors such as product performance requirements, usage environment, and processing costs. At the same time, it is also necessary to consider the impact of factors such as material processability, flowability, and shrinkage rate on the injection molding process.
Mold design: Mold is one of the key equipment in injection molding, and its design rationality directly affects the molding quality and production efficiency of the product. In mold design, it is necessary to fully consider factors such as the shape, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality of the product, and reasonably set up pouring systems, exhaust systems, and cooling systems.
Injection molding process parameters: Injection molding process parameters include injection pressure, injection speed, holding time, mold temperature, etc. The setting of these parameters needs to be adjusted reasonably based on the characteristics of the plastic material and the mold structure to ensure that the product can fully fill the mold cavity and avoid the generation of internal defects.
