1, Differences in structural design
Single cavity mold: refers to a mold that can only manufacture one product per production. Its structure is relatively simple because only the shape and size of one product need to be considered. This type of mold is suitable for small batch production or a wide variety of products, but correspondingly, its production efficiency is lower.
Multi cavity mold: It can produce multiple identical or different products simultaneously, and its structural design is relatively complex. Set multiple cavities in the mold, each corresponding to a specific product. Multi cavity molds are usually used for mass production of the same or similar products, which can significantly improve production efficiency.
2, Manufacturing cost and complexity
Single cavity mold: Due to its simple structure, the manufacturing cost is relatively low. The manufacturing process is relatively easy to control and is more suitable for production scenarios with low technical requirements. However, the efficiency of single cavity molds in large-scale production is relatively low.
Multi cavity mold: Due to the need to consider multiple cavity positions, its manufacturing cost and complexity are relatively high. We need higher-level technical and process support. However, with the continuous advancement of technology, the manufacturing cost of multi cavity molds is gradually decreasing, and their advantages in large-scale production are gradually becoming prominent.
3, Production efficiency and capacity
Single cavity molds: Due to the fact that only one product can be produced at a time, the production efficiency of single cavity molds is relatively low. But for certain special requirements or small batch production situations, it may be more flexible and able to meet different production needs.
Multi cavity mold: It can produce multiple products in the same time, so its production efficiency is higher. For large-scale production of the same or similar products, multi cavity molds can better leverage their advantages and improve overall production capacity.
4, Applicable field analysis
Applicable fields of single cavity molds:
Small scale production: suitable for situations where product demand is relatively small, such as customized products or niche market demands.
Multi variety production: In scenarios with a wide variety of products and frequent changes, single cavity molds are easier to adapt to different production needs.
Applicable fields of multi cavity molds:
Mass production: suitable for scenarios that require mass production of identical or similar products, such as automotive parts, electronic products, etc.
Efficient production: In pursuit of high efficiency and reducing production costs, multi cavity molds can better leverage their advantages.
