Classification and characteristics of extrusion molding
Extrusion molding can be divided into three types based on material temperature: hot extrusion, cold extrusion, and warm extrusion. Hot extrusion is carried out when the material is above the recrystallization temperature and is suitable for the production of pipes and profiles of non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and copper; Cold extrusion is carried out at room temperature and is suitable for the production of parts with high precision requirements; Warm extrusion falls between the two and can achieve the advantages of both, but its application is relatively limited.

However, extrusion molding also has some limitations. For example, material selection is relatively limited, and some brittle materials are not suitable for use; At the same time, the extrusion molding operation requires professional technology and equipment, and the processing difficulty is relatively high; In addition, there may be pollution such as exhaust gas generated during the extrusion process, and environmental protection issues need to be taken into account.
