3. Composite materials
With the development of technology, composite materials are gradually being applied in mold manufacturing. Composite materials are composed of two or more different materials combined to leverage the advantages of various materials. For example, carbon fiber reinforced composite materials have high strength, low weight, and excellent corrosion resistance, making them suitable for manufacturing high-performance molds, such as those in the aerospace industry.
