When installing the mold on the press, be sure to keep the center line of the pressure head, mold cavity and brick outlet coincide. If it does not overlap, it will affect the quality of refractory bricks, forming cracks and even damaging the equipment. When the hardness is not uniform, there will be "fatigue pits" and "wave grooves" on the surface of the mold, resulting in cracking of the brick blank during the brick out process.
The die scale rate, taper and size deviation directly affect the appearance of the blank body. Can the content of the subscribed service be met? The smoothness of the mold will affect the pressure decay during press molding and the strength of the top brick when the brick is released. Due to the excessive pressure difference between the height of the bricks during pressurization, the difference in volume density is easily formed. Because the margin of the green body is subject to friction when the bricks are released, the bottom surface is subject to thrust. When the friction and thrust are too large, the refractory bricks are cracked easily.
When there is a gap between the mold and the mold frame, excessive elastic deformation will occur during pressurization and depressurization, resulting in longitudinal cracks or distortion of the brick. Adhesives on the bottom plate will have shortcomings such as pitting. If the space between the bottom plate, the mold cover and the mold wall is too large, the brick blank will have flash. In short, if the refractory brick mold is damaged, it will have a great impact on the quality of the molded article, so the mold plays an important role in the production.
